That is my thought exactly.  The voting records would be pretty close to identical.  The decision is whether Indiana wants a Republican voting republican or a Democrat voting Republican.

...but considering this poll from Research 2000 on behalf of Daily Kos, the extreme of the "right" appears to be getting even more extreme:
